April 2, 2007 Board Minutes

Called to order by Vicki Hibbert. Attending were Ray Luth, Gary Kuch, Vicki Hibbert, Anne Pollard, Anita Bryant, Lana Taylor, Kathy Cooper, and Barbara Maxwell.

Vicki announced that RVNA has been invited to join the coalition of historical neighborhoods as a non-voting member until our application for historic designation is approved. Cyrus Avery Museum and Plaza is under construction at Southwest Blvd. and Riverside. It was suggested that RVNA start a Garden Club.

Anne asked about fundraising for ????. She also commented that neighbors noticing suspicious activity should call 911, turn on porch lights, talk to their neighbors, call the Mayor's Action Committee.

Gary Kuck will set up an account with Park Friends for the Stick Ball Park project so that donations will be tax deductible. Ray will work on the 501(c)3 paperwork so that RVNA will be able to accept tax deductible donations.

April general meeting guest speakers will be Lisa Patterson and Marty Bonick from OSU Medical Center and the meeting will be held at the Spotlight Theatre on April 10th at 7pm.
