Riverview Neighborhood Association

March 5, 2007 Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President, Vicki Hibbert, at 7:15 p.m.  Attending were Vicki Hibbert, Gary Kuck, Kathy Cooper, Debi Sanditen, and Barbara Maxwell.

With Ray Luth absent, there was no treasurer's report. Barbara Maxwell submitted her invoice for the signs.

Sttck Ball Park: Vicki clarified that the RVNA is a 501(c)4 but we must be a 501(c)3 to accept donations that would qualify the donor for a tax deduction. The alternative would be to donate funds to the Tulsa Historic Society designated to be targeted to Stick Ball Park. Gary Kuck is to invoice Park Friends for the trees: 4 or 5 Hackberry trees on the west side. Plantings were approved by the City Horticultural Department and the Tulsa Parks Department.

We will look into getting tax exempt status to collect funds for future neighborhood projects.

Tulsa Preservations Society has mailed invitations to the General Meeting to all homes in the four areas proposed for historic designation. Vista Heights, Carlton Place, Stonebreaker Heights, and Riverside. The Sophian is not included but would be eligible to submit their own application.

Vicki and Anne Pollard attend a meeting sponsored by Spirit Bank that included Maple Ridge and area commercial property owners. Topic was the formation of Uptown Tulsa Business Improvement District, south of 15th and north of 21st. Objective is to clean up the area, implement new landscaping, share the cost. They also want to adopt some of the best ideas from the defunct Channels project: specifically, using energy efficient construction techniques. Vicki told the group about our interest in a market.

General meeting will feature Preservation presentation and Tulsa Tough report.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
