RIVER VIEW NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

NOVEMBER 8, 2007 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Treasurer, Ray Luth, at 7:00 p.m.  Present were Gary Kuck, Debi Sanditen, Kathy Cooper, Barbara Maxwell, Anita Bryant, and Anne Pollard.  Minutes from the October board meeting and Treasurer’s report were not read.

A casual meeting was held and we discussed

1. A board-sponsored baby shower for Vicki Hibbert new son (JD) will be organized by Kathy Cooper

2. Ray Luth reported that the status of the 501(c)3 application  is "still in progress" and the form should be completed for submission by the end of 2007

3. the money from the Vision 2025 (next year) and placement of additional markers such as at Riverside by the new museum because of the extra funding for Stickball Park

4. Master Plan update including long term plans for extending the bike and walking trails. Lucky Lemons has been working on this project and Ron Miller will update our Master Plan accordingly. This update will include the parks, museums, river projects, and Spotlight Theatre as well as any commercial improvements by other organizations.

5. RVNA has been invited to join the Coalition for Historic Neighbors - we did not select a representative.

The Nominating Committee will present a slate at the November meeting to include:

• President, Ron Miller

• Vice President, Kathy Cooper

• Treasurer, Ray Luth

• Secretary, Barbara Maxwell

• Board (3 to be selected) - Mike Tomlinson, James Bengfort, Jerry Mitchell, and Leslie

• Returning to the board will be: Debi or Erin, Anita, Gary and Anne

November program will also include Patty Southmayd and Bonnie Hickey from PreserveMidtown.com

   The November meeting will be chaired by Ray. The December board meeting will be at Kathy's home on Dec 3rd. The December meeting (election) and Christmas party will be held at the McBirney on December 11th
