RIVER VIEW NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

SEPTEMBER 11, 2007 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by President, Vicki Hibbert, at 6:30 p.m.  Present were Vicki Hibbert, Ray Luth, Gary Kuck, Debi Sanditen, Anne Pollard, Lana Taylor and Kathy Cooper.  Minutes from the August board meeting were not available.

Preparations for the neighborhood block party to be held on Saturday, September 15th were discussed.  The event will be from 11:30 to 2:30 on the grounds of McBirney Mansion.  Volunteers are needed for set up at 11:00.  Pulled pork sandwiches with chips and a drink will be available for $4.00 per person.  Scott Garrison has volunteered to cook the meat for the event.  Ray Luth will organize and supervise the games.  Distribution of fliers for the event will be shared among the board members.  Police and fire fighters may be at the event, as well as river project advocates.

Ray Luth is still working on the RVNA non-profit status.  It was decided that Ray will be given signature authority on the association checking account.

A committee for nominating the president for the upcoming year is needed and Anne Pollard volunteered to chair the committee.  Volunteers for the committee will be sought at the general meeting to be held after the board meeting.  Ray Luth will preside over the November board and general meetings during Vicki Hibbert’s maternity leave.

There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
