February, 2008 MEETING MINUTES

BOARD: Attendees are Ron Miller, Anne Pollard, Gary Koch, Anita Bryant, James, Lance, Kathy Cooper, Jerry Mitchell, Barbara

Ron Miller reminded the board members to invite local business owners to our meetings.

Flyer: Discussion of flyer contents for our self-guided home tour.

Property has been purchased for condo construction and development.

We hope to encourage all new condos in the area to send reps to our meetings. Conservation overlay would help with setbacks, heights of houses, percentage of lot, garages. NOT style.

Tree removal - there will be another pass by the 28th of February.

Vicki Hibbert has the info on plaques.

GENERAL MEETING:

Minutes were approved. Ron reported we had $1162.43 in the Treasury (Ray was absent).

New business included handing out the Tree Tips publication from PSO.

SPEAKER: Mike Ballenger, manager of the Sinclair refinery told us about the history of the company and plans for future development. They will switch from sweet to sour by 2010 and nearly double their production. Products and services will be purchased locally adding over 400 jobs (and 2000 contractors).
