RIVERVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
November 11, 2008 MEETING MINUTES
Board Meeting: Cancelled due to lack of
quorum. Anne Pollard, Gary Kuck and Barbara Maxwell were in attendance.
GENERAL MEETING: Called to order by Anne Pollard at 7pm. No Treasurer
report.
Announcements by Anne Pollard were the Christmas Party and nomination of
officers and board on December 9th. Meeting location will be announced.
Anne also reported on development activity in the area. Kevin Stephens
is the California development of the old synagog. Twenty condos have
been approved where there are parking lots between 15th and 14th on
Cheyenne.
Lana Taylor commented about grammar on the Plaque and the change was
approved to delete "has been" from the second section. Change was
approved.
The subject of changing to a different meeting schedule was introduced.
We will do an email survey to determine preferences.
Lucky Lemons commented about landscaping in Stickball Park and that Beco
was to do future planting. Still looking at a Dec 18 dedication. Our
next local Dog Park is about six months off and will be along 13th
between Detroit and Cincinnati.
SPECIAL GUEST: Dennis Whitaker, City of Tulsa, gave a fantastic
presentation on Vision 2025 plans for Route 66. He commented on the
economic potential of elevating Tulsa to a destination. The Visitor
Center will take about 18 months to plan and 18 months to build. Funding
seems to be in place from Vision 2025 and other grants. There will also
be "gateways" to the East and West to define the Tulsa experience.

The Spotlight Theatre invited all residents to the open house this
Friday to celebrate the 55th year of continual performances.
